RE: O’Neal Tapped as OIAAA Vendor Chair
The Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (OIAAA) has selected Heath O’Neal, Athletic Administrator at Karrer Middle School in Dublin, Ohio, as their new State Conference Vendor Chairperson. O’Neal was chosen from a pool of candidates after a screening and interview process and approval by the OIAAA Board of Directors this past week.
O’Neal has been the Athletic Administrator at Karrer Middle School since 2015. Prior to his full-time appointment, he served as an administrative assistant within the athletic department where he has been employed since 1999. Over his career in the Dublin City Schools, he has also coached football, basketball and track and field at various levels. Prior to coming to Dublin, he was a teacher and coach with Logan Elm City Schools, near Circleville, OH.
He will replace Phil Poggi (Sycamore HS) as the OIAAA Vendor Chairperson. Poggi stepped down from the position in 2017 and currently serves as the president of the Southwest Ohio Athletic Directors Association as well as representing Section 2 on the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Board of Directors.
The OIAAA Vendor Chairperson is responsible for coordinating nearly 70 business vendors and display booths at the Annual OIAAA State Conference held in November. Dates for the 2018 OIAAA State Conference will be November 11-13, 2018.
