7 Reasons Why You Should Attend

The 2013 OIAAA State Conference – November 17-19

1 – The Professional Development
Attendees will have the opportunity to register for North Central-accredited Leadership Training Courses. These courses will satisfy national certification requirements for RMSAA, RAA, CAA or CMAA plus conference attendance receives over 14 hours of CEU credit. (Learn more about the LTC courses on page eleven of this newsletter)

2 – The Latest Updates
The 2013 OIAAA Conference will provide you with the latest OIAAA and OHSAA issues, Ohio legislative news and updates about secondary education in general and the impact each has upon the active athletic administrator. (See details on constitutional amendments to be voted on on page ten of this newsletter)

3 – The Variety of Topics
With powerful keynote and general session speakers, six Leadership Training Courses, four “breakout” sessions which cover 12 unique topics, an OIAAA business meeting and update, along with opportunities to meet personally with the many service and product representatives which serve our schools, attendees will find a wide array of professional topics to meet every need.

4 – The Easton Experience
From the Easton village location, to the food, to all of the amenities the Hilton offers, to the overall OIAAA Conference experience, you can be assured we’ve thought of everything! You’ll appreciate the ideal environment for being inspired, educated and energized when you return to your school.

5 – The Speakers
This year’s conference has a robust schedule of keynote and general presentations which address current, “real-time” challenges that interscholastic athletics is working with. From two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin, to former Ohio State coach, Jim Tressel, to OHSAA Commissioner, Dr. Dan Ross to one of the country’s leading Title IX experts, Peg Pennepacker, to the NIAAA’s Dr. Mike Blackburn, we have it covered!

6 – The Networking
Join hundreds of your professional colleagues and athletic leaders from around the state and Midwest. They say if you want to become a great craftsman, associate with great craftsmen! If spending time with those who are adding value to their athletic programs in Ohio and making a difference with coaches, student-athletes and their communities is your goal……then this conference is the place to be!

7 – The OIAAA Awards Luncheon
The OIAAA believes in the importance of recognizing and honoring the efforts and contributions of individual members and their dedicated service and leadership to education-based athletics. Make plans to join your colleagues and guests at Monday’s luncheon as we recognize many of your associates for their contributions to our profession.
